What’s inside

Between 2013 and 2015 Bryant wrote poems for particular paintings and kept them in his journals. After his passing, Joey went back to those journals and heard his voice in them.

The book pairs each painting with the poem he wrote for it. It opens with a preface by Joey and an introduction to his life and art, and closes with the foundation that carries his name forward and a note from Joey.

Paintings include Amazing Grace, Congo Queen, Green Door, Harvesting, Louisiana Sugar Mill, Sunday Mass and Journey.
